Integrating LottoShield with Petrosoft (Customers who don't want to set up BackOffice Connection)

If your store uses Petrosoft CStoreOffice, LottoShield integrates using a different method that does not require a Windows PC connection. Because of this, you do not need to install LottoShield’s sales-tracking software or set up a backoffice connection for Petrosoft-based locations.

This guide is for Petrosoft customers who want to use LottoShield without connecting a PC to their POS.

Step 1: Begin With Petrosoft’s Instructions

To start the integration, follow the setup instructions provided by Petrosoft.

During Part 2 of Petrosoft’s setup process, you will need a specific email address from LottoShield.

Please contact LottoShield Chat Support to receive the required email.

Step 2: Complete Requirements in Your Petrosoft Account

Before LottoShield can finalize the connection, you must:

Purchase the Petrosoft Business Document API
Add LottoShield as a user on your Petrosoft account

Once these steps are completed, reach out to LottoShield support so we can proceed with the connection process.

Required POS Setup for LottoShield to Work Properly

To ensure accurate reporting and sales tracking, make sure your POS is configured with the following:

Scratchers

Create a Scratcher department on your POS.
Add all scratcher games to your price book.
Employees must scan the scratcher UPC barcode at the POS when selling.

Online Lottery

Create an Online Lotto department on your POS.
Add a button or item with a UPC that employees can use to sell online tickets.

Payouts

Set up a separate Lottery Payout button or department
(varies by POS brand: Verifone, Gilbarco, SmartPOS, etc.).

Petrosoft Mapping

Ensure all POS-created departments and items are mapped correctly in Petrosoft.

Once you’ve reviewed and completed the above requirements, you can exit this article and continue with the remaining installation instructions beginning at Step 3 in Installing LottoShield Pro to finish your setup.
