There are two ways to upload slips to LottoShield.
Uploading Slips from LottoShield Account
If you upload slips through the LottoShield account you'll need to scan the slips from a printer scanner or another type of scanner. Then you would upload the file into your LottoShield account.
- Log in to your LottoShield account
- Go to Slips tab in the left side bar
- Next click Upload New Report
- On the next page click choose file, then select the file to upload, click open and select upload report
If you have multiple Lottery Vending machines and Lottery Terminals you will need to upload each terminals slip one by one. Make sure you double check the slips needed to be uploaded.
Photographing slips with LottoShield scanner or Mobile app
The Lottery Terminal Report needs to be uploaded everyday by simply going to the lottery terminal and printing the sales report for the prior day, and then a picture is to be taken with the LottoShield scanner or Mobile app. To do this select Photograph Reports and then select Daily report from Terminal. Vending Machine Shift Report you will select on days the vending machine is cleared.
How to hold the scanner before capturing a photo
DO NOT hold the scanner at an angle like this when capturing the photo.
You must hold the device directly above the slip when capturing the photo like in the image below
Capturing the Image
The image auto detection should touch all four corners of the slip. Before you capture the picture, make sure the image is focused and everything is readable. Image needs to be clean and not be written on, torn or tilted. Capture the image and check the picture. You can crop image if needed and delete if the image is not readable.
Part 1: Capture Photo - Allow the auto detection to surround the slip. Make sure you capture the whole slip. Nothing should be cut off or tilted. Slip should be straight from top to bottom.
Part 2: Checking the Image - Here you just want to make sure all the info on the slip is visible and not obstructed. Again the image should be the only thing showing there should be no background.
In Image 1 you can see all the info. Date Printed, Date report is for, Terminal number and all sales/cashes info. It's a good image to process. The 2nd image is a bad image which we won't process in to the system. It's very important all images are uploaded like the first image
Image 1: All info is visible Image 2: There is background and bad quality
.
Part 3: Review and Submit these photograph - This is the last opportunity where you can make changes to the image by cropping or deleting the image and taking another picture if the image does not meet the standards. If you like the image just press confirm to submit it. You'll get a message that the upload was successful
