      How to reconcile Cash / Sales using LottoShield Lite

      Use this article to help you understand how to reconcile wether you use a cash box or a POS system.

      1. Customers with a separate cash box for Lottery Sales
        1. You need to make sure you have all your reports from your Lottery terminal to reconcile your cash.
          1. Online sales report, cashes report and return slips (If any packs are removed from your display case by the Lottery Rep and returned).
        2. Cash only (No cashless sales)
          1. Scratcher display Movement (From LottoShield) + Online Lotto Sales - Cancels - Lotto/Lottery Cashes - Partial Returns (if removed from the display) = Total Cash
            1. Compare Total Cash to Physical Cash
        3. Stores in states using card payment terminals connected to lottery terminal (Customers in Ohio)
          1. Scratcher display Movement (From LottoShield) + Online Lotto Sales - Cancels - Lotto/Lottery Cashes - Cashless Sales - Partial Returns (if removed from the display) = Total Cash
            1. `Compare Total Cash to Physical Cash
      2. Customers using a non compatible POS system
        1. Make sure you print out all your reports from your Lottery terminal to reconcile your sales.
          1. Sales Summary, Cashes, Returns (If Lottery rep took any partial packs from your display case)
        2. If all sales go through your POS, LottoShield highly recommends you create separate departments / categories for your Lottery sales. Doing this allows you to compare actual sales to what should have sold.
          1. For Example : If you have one lottery department you would take the Scratcher display movement (From LottoShield) + Online Sales - Cancels - Partial Returns (if removed from the display) = Total Sales (From POS Report)
          2. If you have two lottery departments one for Scratchers and one for Online lotto.
            1. Compare Scratcher display movement (From LottoShield) - Partial Returns (if removed from the display - Scratcher sales (From POS report) = Scratcher inventory total over/short
            2. Compare online sales - cancels (From lottery terminal report) to Online total sales (From POS report) = online lotto total over/short
