Troubleshoot: LottoShield Scanner Offline

If the blue light on top of scanner is flashing, refer to section A.

If the blue light on top of the LottoShield scanner is solid, refer to section B.

Section A

1. If the blue light on top of your scanner is flashing, that means it is not connected to WI-FI. To re-configure the WI-FI please follow the instructions below.

  • Plug your scanner into power. You should see a blinking blue light on top.

  • Click Here to configure the WI-FI for your LottoShield Scanner.

  • The light on the top of the scanner should become solid blue and stop blinking if your WI-FI is configured properly.

* Keep in mind, when entering your Wi-Fi information, the Wi-Fi credentials entered need to be exact! If you have Uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters they must be put in when entering your Wi-Fi info.

Section B

1. If the blue light on top of your LottoShield scanner is solid but has still no connection, perform a power cycle. Unplug your scanner from the power source, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in. This will usually fix the problem.

  • After power cycling check to see if the blue light goes back to a solid blue light. If the light is solid blue perform an audit.

*If your scanner constantly goes offline, please reach out to us on the chat support to perform an update on your LottoShield scanner.

2. If number 1 didn't solve your problem, please scan the barcode below and wait for the blue light to start flashing. Then re-configure your WI-FI by following the instructions in section A.

If there is still no connection, possible reasons could be:

  1. The WI-FI network is rejecting new devices and may require a restart or devices may need to be removed from its memory.

  2. The WI-FI network is ONLY a 5Ghz which the scanner can't connect to. We need 2Ghz or 2.4Ghz which all WI-FI routers should have, so someone would need to enable that or you can call your internet service provider and request 2Ghz or 2.4Ghz be enabled and have it's own network name

  3. The WI-FI router needs a reboot.

  4. The WI-FI is too far from the scanner, which can be tested by moving the scanner next to the WI-FI router for testing purposes.

  5. The router could be bad and may need replacement.

Try connecting the scanner to a different WI-FI network or your phones hotspot to see if it is able to upload an audit. Use the steps in section A to set the scanner up with the different WI-FI.
