Using LottoShield with SciQ

If your store uses SciQ scratcher bins, LottoShield can automatically incorporate the reports generated by SciQ into your daily audit process. Setting this up involves creating an email distribution list and ensuring employees are properly trained to close their shifts in SciQ.

This article explains both steps in detail.


Add LottoShield To The SciQ Distribution List

  1. Log out of Clerk on SciQ and log in as Admin with your credentials.

    If the credentials haven’t been changed, the default credentials are as shown below:

    Username: Admin
    Password: Password
  2. From the Admin dropdown, select Distribution List > Add New Distribution List.
  3. Name the list "LottoShield Reports".
  4. Add “sciqreports@lottoshield.net” as the email. Optional: Add any other emails that you wish to get the same reports.
  5. From the Admin dropdown, select Auto Reporting.
  6. For "Shift End - Sales Summary" select the distribution list made for LottoShield.
  7. For "Shift End - Inventory Summary" select the distribution list made for Lottoshield.
  8. Log out of Admin and back into Clerk.

How to Close a Shift on SciQ 

  1. From the Main Sales Screen of SciQ, press the Shift button.
  2. The employee will enter their name and press the End Shift button.
  3. This will end the shift on the SciQ and send the report to LottoShield to post the Inventory.

Best Practices

It is important for employees to close the shift on the SCiQ system at the end of every shift, as this process is equivalent to what employees would normally do with the LottoShield scanner. Completing this step ensures that all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled before the next shift begins.
