Manager View Dashboard
Manager View organizes store data by management territory. Instead of starting with individual store locations, Manager View groups stores under the managers assigned to those locations.
This view is useful for corporate users, district managers, regional managers, and other leadership users who need to review lottery activity across multiple stores or management territories.
Manager View includes two tabs:
- District — shows district managers with their assigned stores nested underneath.
- Regional — shows regional managers with district managers nested underneath, and stores nested under each district manager.
Manager View Layout
Manager View uses an expandable table. Each top-level row represents a manager or assignment group, and the values shown across the row are rollups for the stores nested underneath that row.
Use the arrow next to a manager or group name to expand the row and view the next level of detail.
Depending on the tab, expanding a row may show either:
- Stores assigned to a district manager
- District managers assigned under a regional manager
- Stores assigned under a district manager within a regional manager group
The selected date range affects the values shown in Manager View, including shortages, overages, audits, and other dashboard totals.
District Tab
The District tab places district managers at the top level.
In the District tab, expand a district manager to view the stores assigned to that manager.
Each district manager row shows rollup totals for the stores assigned to that district manager. Expanding the district manager row shows the individual stores included in that manager’s territory.
Use the District tab when you want to:
- Review stores grouped by district manager
- Compare district manager territories
- Identify which stores are contributing to a district-level total
- Open a specific store for additional review
The District tab may also show an Unassigned stores group when stores are not assigned to a district manager.
Regional Tab
The Regional tab places regional managers at the top level.
Structure:
Regional Manager
→ District Managers
→ Stores
Each regional manager row shows rollup totals for the managers and stores nested underneath that regional manager. Expanding a regional manager shows the district managers assigned to that region. Expanding a district manager shows the stores assigned underneath.
Use the Regional tab when you want to:
- Review a regional manager’s full territory
- Compare regional performance
- See which district managers roll up under each regional manager
- Drill from region to district to individual store
The Regional tab may also show an Unassigned region group when district managers or stores are not assigned to a regional manager.
Understanding Rollup Totals
Manager View totals are based on the stores included under each expanded or collapsed row.
A manager row shows the combined values for the stores assigned beneath that manager. A regional manager row shows the combined values for the district managers and stores nested under that regional manager.
Because Manager View is assignment-based, totals may differ from Store View or State View. Store View is organized by individual locations, State View is organized by state, and Manager View is organized by manager assignments.
User Management and Manager View
Manager View is built from the assignments configured in User Management.
User Management controls which stores are assigned to district managers and which district managers or stores are assigned under regional managers. If a manager or store appears in an unexpected place, User Management is the first place to review the assignment.
Assignments do not have to be perfect before using Manager View. LottoShield supports both unassigned roles and multiple assignments because customer management structures may vary.
Unassigned Roles and Stores
Some roles or stores may be intentionally left unassigned.
For example:
- A customer may not use regional managers.
- A store may not currently have a district manager assigned.
- A customer may still be setting up their management structure.
Unassigned items are allowed. They simply appear in an unassigned group instead of being listed under a specific manager.
Multiple Assignments
Multiple assignments are also allowed. Some customers may have more than one person assigned to the same role, territory, or location.
However, if more than one manager in the same role is assigned to the same location, that location’s numbers will appear under each assigned manager in Manager View.
This can make totals appear duplicated when reviewing data by manager.
For example, if Store #1001 is assigned to two district managers, Store #1001 may appear under both district managers, and its numbers may be included in both manager totals.
This does not change the underlying store data. It only affects how the data is displayed and rolled up in Manager View.
Shared Store Assignments
When a store appears in more than one manager path, Manager View may identify the store as shared.
A shared store means the location is assigned in a way that causes it to appear under more than one manager or territory. This may be intentional, but it should be reviewed if totals look duplicated or if the hierarchy does not match the customer’s expected structure.
Reviewing Assignment Setup
If Manager View does not look the way you expect, review User Management.
In User Management, use assignment filters to identify:
- Roles or stores that are unassigned
- Locations or roles with multiple assignments
These filters are not error reports. They are tools for reviewing how the management structure is configured.
Before relying on Manager View for territory-level reporting, confirm that unassigned and multiple assignments are intentional.
Exporting Manager View
Click Save to CSV to export the current Manager View data to a CSV file.
This can be useful when reviewing manager-level totals outside LottoShield or sharing dashboard information in a spreadsheet format.
Columns
Manager View uses the shared dashboard column controls.
Click Columns to show, hide, or reorder the columns displayed in the table. For more information, see the dashboard overview article’s section on customizing columns.
Common Questions
Why is a manager missing from Manager View?
The manager may not be assigned in User Management, or the user may not have the correct role or relationship configured.
Why is a store missing under a manager?
The store may not be assigned to that manager in User Management, or it may be assigned under a different manager or assignment group.
Why do I see an Unassigned stores or Unassigned region row?
This means one or more stores, district managers, or assignment groups are not assigned to that level of the management hierarchy. This may be intentional.
Why do totals appear duplicated?
Totals may appear duplicated when more than one manager in the same role is assigned to the same location. In that case, the location’s numbers appear under each assigned manager.
Does Manager View change the underlying data?
No. Manager View changes how data is grouped and displayed. It does not change the underlying store activity, audits, sales, or inventory data.
